An undergraduate of woodwinds at Berklee College of Music and a graduate of the Full Sail Academy of Recording Arts, Axel’s 16 years in the music industry have earned him 1 Grammy Nomination as the Recording & Mix Engineer for Best Rap Album with The Roots, “Things Fall Apart” and various Grammy Participation Awards.
Axel possesses an impressive list of RIAA certified Gold and Platinum awards with Recording, Mix and Production credits, including artists such as Erykah Badu, Stevie Wonder, Faith Evans, Puff Daddy, Aretha Franklyn, Carly Simon, Notorious B.I.G., Foxy Brown, Deborah Cox, Wallen (France) and Seeed (Germany).
While being an accomplished Mix Engineer, Axel also partners with fellow producer Erik Steinert in an Independent A&R Company, Stray Dog Music, whose mission is to develop young talent and to provide the music industry with artists, songs and cutting edge production.
